Classic Tiramisu Recipe

Tiramisu is a timeless Italian dessert loved for its creamy texture and rich coffee flavor. Made with layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and a luscious mascarpone cream, this no-bake treat is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

1 cup (240ml) strong brewed espresso, cooled

3 tbsp (45ml) coffee liqueur (optional)

3 large egg yolks

½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

8 oz (225g) mascarpone cheese, softened

¾ cup (180ml) heavy cream

24 ladyfinger biscuits

Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture: In a shallow bowl, mix the brewed espresso with coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside.

2. Make the Mascarpone Cream: In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy. Add the mascarpone and mix until smooth.

3. Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.

4. Assemble the Tiramisu: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and arrange a layer at the bottom of a baking dish. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining cream.

5. Chill & Serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

Tips for the Best Tiramisu:

Don’t over-soak the ladyfingers; a quick dip is enough.

Let it chill overnight for the best flavor.

Use high-quality espresso for an authentic taste.

Enjoy this creamy, coffee-infused tiramisu—it’s an easy yet elegant dessert that will impress every time!
